ILevel Decorative Plate Installation Featured on the Upcoming City Modern House Tour

It’s almost time for the second annual occurrence of one of our favorite events in New York City: City Modern, which takes place from September 27 through October 4. The week-long festival, co-hosted by Dwell and New York Magazine, celebrates the city’s plentiful modern design and architecture, and culminates in a weekend of house tours that showcase some of the most inspiring contemporary design in New York. We’re especially excited for the Brooklyn house tour (there’s also one on Manhattan), because a decorative plate installation we did will be featured in one of the homes.

The townhouse, on Dean Street, was restored from inhabitability by architect Clay Miller of Bergen Street Studio. ILevel worked with interior designer Ghislaine Vinas to create this beautiful display of decorative plates on one of the walls in the dining room. A tile cutter was used to get the straight edges on the plates, in order to create a perfectly rectangular shape for the display. We found the end result to be stunning (if we do say so ourselves!)

The wall was also featured in an ad in Dwell for the City Modern event.
