ILevel’s Gallery Wall for Jill Kargman Featured in Vogue

It’s always exciting to see our work in print, but especially when it’s a project we adore and a publication we hold on a pedestal. Such was the case last week when a gallery wall we worked on with actress Jill Kargman, star of Bravo’s hilarious comedy Odd Mom Out, popped up on Vogue.com.

To the unfamiliar, Odd Mom Out is a parody of momlife in Manhattan, and Jill stars as the foil to the blonde-hair, juice cleansing, soul-cycling set. The character is based on Jill’s own life, and her TV apartment is losley based on her real space on Third Avenue. Jill’s aesthetic is what you’d expect from the wry actress: it’s party eclectic, a bit dark, uniquely sophisticated, and as chic as can be. While Jill certainly had a vision for her space, she also enlisted the help of her longtime friend and interior designer Lauren Geddes Duff.

The wall, in Jill’s living room, was mostly made up of art she’d collected over the years, with personal touches throw in. Among the pieces on the wall: a sketch of the wedding dress Karl Lagerfeld designed for her wedding (Jill’s father is a former president of Chanel), a Damian Hirst skull, and a shadow box filled with a stack of laser-cut 100-dollar bills. The gallery wall is a true showstopper and the focal point of the room, both because of its size and the originality.
