Don’t Miss: ICFF in New York City this Weekend

With the start of New York’s first official design week, NYC x Design, we’ve been overwhelmed (in a good way) by all of the art and design events that have been taking place around us. Especially since the week–which is actually more like 10 days–coincides with some of the city’s top existing art and design festivals and shows. Last weekend, three major contemporary art fairs hit New York City: Frieze, PooL Art Fair and PULSE. This weekend is an equally exciting one for the world of contemporary design. Saturday, May 18, 2013 marks the kickoff of the 25th Annual International Contemporary Furniture Fair.

Each year, ICFF hosts more than 26,000 interior designers, furniture makers, retailers and showrooms from around the world at the Javits Center where they peruse the work of more than 500 exhibitors. While Saturday and Sunday are reserved as “To the Trade Only” days, the show is open to the public on Monday and Tuesday, so if you’re not a trade professional, there is still an opportunity to see what one of the world’s largest furniture showcases is all about.

For those who are part of the trade, the show’s series of talks, lectures and workshops are revered and not-to-be-missed. For more on ICFF in New York City, visit ICFF.com.
