Recent ILevel Picture Hanging Projects

Each month we work with dozens of different clients on a wide variety of projects — from installing art at a Chelsea gallery, to hanging photos for a family in a new home, to arranging wall decor  around a restaurant. No two projects are alike, which is why it’s always fun to share a little bit of what we’ve been working on. Here are a few of our favorite recent picture hanging projects.

1. A lacquered gallery wall.

One of the biggest trends we’re currently seeing in interior design is the emergence of lacquered walls. This high-shine treatment may be a show-stopper in its own right, but that doesn’t mean hanging art is off limits. Proof: A gallery wall we creating in a client home. The key to ensuring the final effect wasn’t too over-the-top: choosing art in a range of neutral hues.

2. An art display in a retail boutique.

Here, a new clothing retailer wanted to create a blend between form and function, offering customers a place to check their reflections in possible purchases, that still contributed to the chic, sophisticated vibe of the space.

3. Art above the bed in a girls’ room.

Among the mix of bright colors in this kids’ space, a subtle, symmetrical art arrangement was all that was needed. The secret to this clean look: extra large, bright-white mats.

4. Vintage gallery wall.

What better place for an arrangement of vintage Campbell’s pop art than in a dining room? We love the bold graphic statement created by hanging this collection as a large, evenly spaced grouping that fills out the entire wall.

5. Floating panel art.

This final piece is a commercial design trend that we’ve increasingly seen transition into contemporary and industrial residential spaces: the floating art panel. We’re all for the crossover: we love the modern and completely unique look!
