As we head into the last few days of 2014, we can safely say that, as far as wall art is concerned, this has been the year of Pinterest. More than any other medium, Pinterest is inspiring our clients’ design decisions and providing endless creative and stylish wall art ideas.
Since the year is coming to a close, we figured what better time to recap some of the best wall decor DIYs, arrangements, and overall inspiration we’ve seen on Pinterest this year. Below, a few of our favorites.
1. Exacto Knife Wall Decor: This one turns a set of simple craft store canvases into a beautiful series of geometric cutout panels.
2. Shower Curtain Wall Art. Large scale wall art can cost thousands of dollars, so we love this budget-friendly idea that takes an inexpensive shower curtain and transforms it into statement-making wall decor.
3. Light Bulb Wall Planters. Terrariums were a big trend in 2014, and we love the idea of bringing them to the walls, especially in these great re-purposed lightbulb planters.
4. Ceiling Medallion Wall Art. Turn ceiling medallions (you can use vintage ones or purchase them new at almost any home improvement store) into wall art with a few cans of spray paint. Genius!
