Wall Art Trends: Typography, Love It or Hate It?

As far as recent wall art trends go, the only one that seems to be able to come close to the popularity of the gallery wall is typography. We see it everywhere, constantly, whether it’s a Subway sign, a favorite quote, or a single monogram letter. In general, we like the trend. While there are a lot of bad fonts out there, if typography is done right, it can look stylish and feel fresh.

Here are some examples of great typography wall art we’ve seen recently.

This is the perfect example of how something can be so on trend, but still feel fresh and unique with the right approach. We love this wall, made up of the names of famous authors.

Here’s another unique approach. The blogger behind Madigan Made created this typography grid using clip boards and stencils.

Painting words directly on the wall takes it to a whole ‘nother level:
