Calling all art lovers in New York City! ILevel will be kicking off a new gallery initiative next Tuesday, May 24 at 7 p.m. with the opening of our Gods in Print: Masterpieces of India’s Mythological Art exhibit, and you’re invited.
The ongoing show will feature a selection of early lithographs depicting India’s intricate and extraordinary universe of gods and goddesses. The pieces are part of a larger collection owned by Mark Baron and Elise Boisante, who have amassed one of the world’s largest libraries of important 19th and early 20th Century Hindu prints.
In addition to a chance to view the works, Mark Baron will be at the ILevel opening event, along with R.A. Fedde discussing her new film, Five Faces of Shiva, which chronicles the rise of early Hindu God lithographs.
