Sadly we see situations like this far too often. Art can be delicate, especially older works, and can be affected by the humidity or lack there of. During winter in NYC we tend to create very dry arid conditions in our homes. This negatively effects everything from artwork to musical instruments. The solution of course is humidifiers, which can be a pain, but better than the outcome shown above.
