In addition to working with private homes, and in galleries and office spaces, we also do a lot of work with retail stores–installing the art, objects and photos that make the spaces memorable and engaging.
Retail stores can be very creative and inspiring places to be. They’re all about fashioning a fun, relaxing and comfortable environment for customers, which can lead to unique ideas that wouldn’t work anywhere else–in homes or galleries or museums. Needless to say, we love working with retail clients.
Here are some of the great ideas for decorating a retail space that we’ve help bring to life in the stores of our clients.
1. These are photos from a Banana Republic store in New York City. The large space required lots of art to make it feel both complete and intimate, since the art helps to divide the massive store into distinct areas.
2. Below is a gallery wall we created in the Kiki de Montparnasse store in New York. The vintage, black-and-white prints hung in the store really emphasize the glamorous, old-Hollywood vibe of the brand.
3. Frames, but not photos! A contemporary idea suits a contemporary New York City boutique.
