We’re lucky to have some pretty incredible clients here at ILevel, including renowned interior designers, art galleries, and even the occasional celebrity. We have a strict confidentiality policy when it comes to the latter, except in the case when the space is published … such was the situation recently, when the Harlem home of David Burtka and Neil Patrick Harris appeared in Architectural Digest.
We worked with their interior designer, Trace Lenhoff, to plan, arrange, and hang the many works of art and photos the couple wanted to display. The project was extensive: their home is five stories high, but it was also great fun, since Harris & Burtka both love art, and have impeccable taste.
Here are a few of our favorite spaces from the project.
1. The staircase. Stairway gallery walls always look beautiful, and the couple’s eclectic art collection added a personal touch.
2. In a large sitting room, three large art pieces anchor the space, which smaller ones fill in to ensure no wall is boring.
3. A grand, parlor style room calls for equally impressive statement art, which Harris & Burtka delivered.
4. The office space has to be our favorite. The pop art balances the dark wood tones and heavy leather chesterfield perfectly.
