One of the best things about working at ILevel is that we often get to be up-close-and-personal with some really fantastic art. Recently, the ILevel team was tasked with hanging the work of artist William Hawkins for an exhibit at the Ricco Maresca Gallery in Chelsea. Hawkins is an outsider artist known for his colorful, expressionistic paintings on a wide range of subjects–from nature, to biblical scenes–often done with semi-gloss paint or enamel on plywood.
Seeing the paintings close up was a rush, and we highly recommend checking it out of you have a chance. The exhibit is going on now through May 11, 2013.
