How to Display Children’s Art

It’s a question many parents with school-aged children wrestle with: How to display children’s art in a way that prominently shows off their kid’s talents, but that also looks organized and attractive. The latter considerations are especially important in small homes or apartments without space for dedicated playrooms.

Our suggestion? Frame the artwork, and create a gallery wall out of it in the child’s room. It will add color and creativity to their space, look neat and organized, and–most importantly– it’ll make your child feel good to see their art displayed so nicely.

We recently installed a project in a family home that showcased children’s art in exactly this way.

A few reasons why this arrangement, in particular, looks so nice:

1. The frames are all the same color. When hanging art that’s as diverse in style and color as what your child brings home from school is, it’s important to keep the frames consistent to create a cohesive look.

2. Like with any gallery wall, planning is key. This art was arranged based on size, so the largest pieces were in the center (a standard arrangement technique).
