One of the most impressive museums to visit in Paris is the Musee de Paleontologie. Essentially it the equivalent of a section of the American Museum of Natural History in NY. But in Paris it is split between 3 fantastic buildings and set in a park with a small zoo and a giant botanical garden. It is a shame that it is missed by most tourists. The ground floor displays comparative anatomy in a gorgeous building. The combination of the building architecture and the breath of their display puts the AMNH to shame.
