How to Choose the Right Picture Lights for Artwork

I’ve often been asked by clients about guidelines for choosing picture lights to properly light their artwork, large photos, maps, or prints. I thought I would share some of the basic tips on choosing the right size and color picture light for your artwork.

DIY: Using Wax Paper to Layout a Salon Wall

I saw this idea on the Roost blog and thought it was worth a look. The author, Marissa Waddell, suggests laying-out your pictures on the floor upside down and placing a large sheet of waxed paper over them (in this case, three long sheets that she has taped together).

Hanging Art from Bookshelves

Although it is often met with some reservations, a great way to display artwork is to hang it in front of bookshelves. It is unexpected and helps breakup what can be a visual cacophony of book spines.
