Bedroom Wall Art Ideas

One of the best ways to showcase the latter is by hanging wall art and decor that you love, whether it’s because it has sentimental value, your simply love the way it looks, it has a story or message that speaks to you, or for any other reason you choose it (this space is all about you, remember).

7 Inexpensive Wall Art Ideas

rt is typically thought of as an investment piece — something that’s expensive, high-quality, and meant to last a lifetime. While it’s wonderful to be able to collect one-of-a-kind works, not everyone can afford the high price tag that can  come with them. And even those that do own extensive art collections often need filler pieces.

7 Stunning Wall Art Ideas from Top Home Bloggers

It’s no secret that bloggers are among the home decor industry’s top trendsetters these days. They’re often the first to implement (and widely share) new styles and ideas spotted at trade shows and in shelter magazines, and they also serve as a wonderful resource of original creative ideas themselves. More and more often, we’re finding ourselves sourcing some of our favorite inspiration images from blogs.

The Biggest Wall Art Trends for 2016

True, it’s only September and the new year is still a ways away, but fashion week in New York has reminded us that the design worlds are always looking a few seasons ahead. Plus, with our constant immersion in wall art and decor through our client projects, we’ve already spotted some key wall art trends that are set to blow up next year. So we’ve decided to put together our list of predictions for what everyone will be hanging on their walls in 2016.

10 Wall Art Ideas for In Between Spaces

Just because an area of your home isn’t technically a “room” doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be decorated to the nines. In fact, sometimes it’s the “in-between” spaces that are the most fun to design. The hallways, staircases and entryways in our homes offer micro-climates for testing out big design ideas, especially when it comes to what’s hanging on the walls.

Recent Art Installation: Vintage Educational Charts from the Paris Flea Market

We recently completed an installation of one of the most unique art collections we’ve seen in a while. Our client, a woman who we have worked with before, and have come to know has an impeccable eye for original style, bought a series of chalkboard-style educational charts from the Paris Flea Market to hang in her home. She wanted to install them in her NoLiTa apartment in a similar grid format in which she found them, and in their original frames.

Although the gallery wall trend has been around for a long time, we’re still amazed by how different each finished wall can look, and all of the creative interpretations that can be had. One recent example of this was a recent gallery wall installation done at a client’s home in New York City. It had all of the components that make a gallery wall interesting, fresh, and one-of-a-kind.

Wall Art Ideas in Marsala, The Pantone Color of 2015

Each year, the color gurus at Pantone hone in on the single shade that will define trends in fashion, decor, beauty & more. This year’s hue? What to do With Art you Don’t Like

This might sound like a silly question, but it’s actually one of the most common queries we get at ILevel. Our clients have recently moved, or hired an interior designer, or just want to refresh their walls, and when they re-evaluate their art collection, they realize the don’t necessarily like some of their pieces, or certain things just no longer fit the look of their space.

Fresh Ideas for a Family Photo Wall

One of our favorite projects here at ILevel is creating family photo walls. It’s always fun to sit down with our clients and sort through their photo archives, looking for the best snapshots to display, and then creating something beautiful from them. The family photo wall is also one of our most popular projects, but it’s rare that we end up with two walls that are alike.

Wall Art Trends: Typography, Love It or Hate It?

As far as recent wall art trends go, the only one that seems to be able to come close to the popularity of the gallery wall is typography. We see it everywhere, constantly, whether it’s a Subway sign, a favorite quote, or a single monogram letter. In general, we like the trend. While there are a lot of bad fonts out there, if typography is done right, it can look stylish and feel fresh.

6 Fresh Ways to Use Wall Shelves for Art

We love when a trend gives us a new way to hang art. It fuels creativity and gives us a new perspective on our work. One of the big trends a lot of clients have been asking for is to have wall shelves installed to hold their art.

5 DIY Wall Art Ideas from Pinterest

As much as we both love and appreciate fine art, we’re also firm believers that what you hang on your walls doesn’t have to be expensive or have historical significance to be beautiful. As many of our clients have proven to us over the years, sometimes, the most elegant, creative, stylish wall decor is made up of flea-market finds, pieces found on Craigslist, family photos, and even art by the kids.
