10 Wall Art Ideas for In Between Spaces

Just because an area of your home isn’t technically a “room” doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be decorated to the nines. In fact, sometimes it’s the “in-between” spaces that are the most fun to design. The hallways, staircases and entryways in our homes offer micro-climates for testing out big design ideas, especially when it comes to what’s hanging on the walls.

How to Arrange Art Above Your Sofa

There are certain places in the home that naturally lend themselves to, or even beg for, wall art. The areas usually offer a great big blank canvas, like a staircase or hallway, or serve as a natural focal point in a room, like the space directly above your sofa (or right behind it, if it’s not directly against the wall)

3 Important Tips for Hanging Art on a Stairway

Stairways are one of the greatest spots in a home to hang art. They offer plenty of wall space, and creative freedom in spades, since there’s no need to consider furniture placement, or color scheme, or whether or not the pieces you choose to hang will compete with the window curtains or sofa fabric.

Pulp Drunk at the Ricco Maresca Gallery

We recently installed a fun new art exhibition for one of our longtime clients, the Ricco Maresca Gallery in Chelsea.
