ILevel Staff Art Show in New York City: Artist Carlos Rodriguez

The ILevel Staff Art Show opening party is on June 6th in New York, NY. In honor of the exhibition (which is curated entirely from the works of our talented team members) we’re highlighting the work of one of our installer/artists.

What sort of art do you create?

I make abstract representational paintings. I mainly use acrylic paint on canvas.

How long have you been doing it?

I started painting with oils at age 9 and at 15 or 16 years of age I decided painting is going to be my career.

What pieces are you showing in the ILevel art show?

I haven’t decided what painting I will show but it might be the one above.

To see more work by Carlos Rodriguez and the rest of our skilled staff, stop by the ILevel Staff Exhibit at 37 East 7th Street in New York, NY.

Recent ILevel Art Installation Projects around New York

It’s been a while since we recapped our recent art installation and picture hanging projects, but were inspired to share a few of our latest simply because of the beauty and diversity of some of our client’s homes. From eclectic gallery walls, to object and art collections, here are a few of our favorite recent projects.

1. Vintage and eclectic: Proof that gallery walls don’t have to have a common theme, color, or frame style to look beautiful. We loved the collected feel of the various photos and art (and the variety of frames!) in this apartment.

2. Woven hats: And here’s proof that beautiful wall art doesn’t technically even have to be art; here the client chose to hang a grouping of woven hats to create a unique statement wall.

3. Bright pop art. How cool is this art collection? It immediately set the tone for the fun, modern apartment it’s hung in.

4. Graphic watercolors. We loved this collection because, while each piece was different, the art was unified through a common palette and watercolor technique.

5. A colorful collection. Make like an art gallery: here, the work of a single artist is displayed in matching frames on a bright white wall.

Come Visit ILevel’s Brand New Studio Space

What better way to celebrate a new year than with a brand new space? We’re excited to share that in January, ILevel officially moved to our beautiful new location, a 1600 square foot studio on 7th street. We hope our new home will not only give us a gorgeous space to showcase our work, but will also better allow us to help our clients visualize and find inspiration for the walls of their homes.

So what can you expect from our new location? For one, we’ve divided the space up into three areas. In the front office, we’ll welcome our customers to discuss project details and set up appointments, and we’ll have staff on hand to answer technical and product questions. In our gallery space, we’ll showcase our ILevel studio collections — sets of curated art and objects available for purchase (Learn more about unique collections from ILevel Studio here).

The final space, which we’re especially excited about, is the “workroom.” Here, we’ll hang rotating examples of unique art and photo arrangements in order to help inspire our clients about the possibilities for their walls, and provide tangible samples of what they can expect from our work. We will also use this space to create family photo walls–we invite our customers to bring in their boxes of old pictures (or an iPhone full of snapshots), and we’ll collaborate to sort, print, frame and arrange a beautiful collection of images. We’ll also host all events, workshops, and openings in this new space.

Want to see our new home for yourself? We invite you to stop by 37 East 7th St. to discuss a project, check out our collections for sale, or simply take a look around!
